Coffee with the Goats: Ban the bottle

The Pushy Goat is dedicated to providing its clients with the best bodywork and esthetic services while focusing on excellent customer service. I am proud to say that we have over 150 verified 5-star reviews (and counting) that show we are delivering on these promises. However, The Pushy Goat is about more than just that. Not only do we try to do our part in the local community by giving back a portion of our service fees every month to local non-profits, but we are constantly striving to take on an active role in the betterment of the global community as well.

That is why we are taking this opportunity on Earth Day to join the movement with Ban the Bottle (https://www.banthebottle.net/) and Tapped, a documentary film examining the role of the bottled water industry and its effects on our health, climate change, pollution. Earthday.org states that plastic pollution is one of the biggest environmental problems in the world. The Camelback pledge to #DitchDisposable tells us that "going disposable for just 30 days saves 18 single-use water bottles from ending up in the landfill. If we could get the entire U.S. on board for just 30 days, we’d eliminate 5.5 billion bottles."

Often the blame or responsibility gets placed solely on the consumer to make changes, but I don't agree with that wholeheartedly. I think it is important that manufacturers, business owners, etc. that touch numerous people's lives should be held responsible as well. That is why we are starting our #banthebottle movement today.

Please take the time to watch our video and the videos attached at the bottom of this article. Also, we would LOVE for you to help the movement (the first official movement in Kansas!) grow. Please share your posts on social media about banning the bottle with the #makeEARTHtheGOAT (thanks for the idea Bryce) and #banthebottle
